I have a Lee 6-Cavity 452 mold for 45 ACP 200 SWCs. As i use it the screws get loose and i have to tighten them up every few minutes, which slows down production significantly -- especially the screw that holds the spruel plate on. Should i get some lock washers or is there a better solution? Thanks, Scarter

You will have to drill and tap and install set screws. Two 8-32 Allen-head screws will do the job. Other mould makers install set screws, as part of the manufacturing process. Lee uses the caster as an un-paid employee of their machining and quality control departments, to put the finishing touches on their moulds. Once properly Leemented, Lee moulds become efficient and productive.

Read the stickies related to Lee moulds -- they are very informative and beneficial.

I added set screws to all of mine and they take care of the problem
