I recently aquired a Luger in 7.65mm(30 Luger) caliber. I realize this is somewhat of an obscure caliber, but the pistol is really cool and I want to reload for it, I have some Starline brass on the way.

Is there a favorite mold that anyone has for this caliber? There are a couple Lee molds that look really good that I am thin king about trying. It has been a while since I cast any bullets, but I am looking forward to getting back into it. Thanks and have a good one...................................

Ideal #308244 is recommended for 30 Luger and 30 Mauser in Ideal #37 Hand Book.

My Lyman cast bullet handbook lists two boolits: the 84 grain 313249 and the 93 grain 313226.

I've cast Lee 311-93-1R and shot a couple of dozen years ago. Unfortunately I don't remember much of that experiment but the boolit looks like a good candidate. Another possible candidate could be the 311-100-2R.

Only thing i remember is that I cast from wheelweights, aircooled and hand-lubed with California Saeco Green. Don't remember sizing or load data.
Long slivers of lead could be pushed out with a patch but no lead remaining.
