I got off for New Year o I went hunting with a co worker ,we hunted all morning and saw nothing but fog:groner:. Later that day we went to another place and after 2 hours in the stand i saw three does coming my way I watched them move through the wood for 50 yds or so it seemed like a life time before they made it to a clearing. By that time my heart was racing. I waited for the biggest one to come out and I sent a 464gr 45-70 booit towards her way. She ran off about 30 yrds and went down with out even a kick. two big holes one on ether side very little brusing and one deer down good times:lovebooli

Pretty foggy Friday and Saturday in S TX, gotta admit I chose sitting around camp drinking coffee over sitting in a stand staring at fog.
Good job, now get that knife out of your pocket and get to work!

Congrats nice doe. I just got done eating some doe ribs, boiled them for two and a half to three hours and basted them with BBQ sauce and threw them in the oven for a bit they were tender and yummy.

Very Nice:
I prefer a doe or a small buck when it comes to vension. I hate shooting a small buck so I generally want to shoot a doe. Enjoy your bounty and nice going.
