I have one of Thumlers little #1 tumblers that I just love, for it's quiet operation, I rarely need to tumble over 50 handgun cases at a time, so this little beauty works just great for my needs.
BUT.......... Yes, there's always a BUT somewhere in the mix!
The lid on this tumbler is one BIG pain to remove and replace [smilie=b: if you have ever used one, I am sure you agree.
Earlier today I was using it and thought it NEEDED some sort of screw-on cap to make opening it a lot easier.
Looking under my bench I spotted a empty, plastic, quart mayonnaise jar, BINGO!!!
Out came the aviation snips, and off came the threaded section of the neck, next was to cut a matching sz. hole in the orig. lid.
That done, and a little sanding and scuffing of both surfaces, some glue around the seam and I was in business, with a FAST & EASY to use screw-on cap.
It works like a champ
Just thought there might be somebody else here that also dreads messing with that rubber ring, and pry-off / push-in lid.
Cheers!
