Has anyone had any sucess with SR4759? I`m loading 115gr pb and gc...so far my best results have been with 2400. In theory it seems like a good prospect. I`m shooting a Browning 53.

What kind of velocity do you want?

My Marlin lives on a 120 plain base and 5 gr of unique. Very accurate, easy on the brass, and plenty of velocity for most uses.

I am using 8gr of 2400, best accuracy so far, have tryed 5 to 5 1/2gr of unique but not as accurate in this rifle. I`d like to stay in that same velocity range. I`m using Starline brass. Also have lots of IMR4227 but haven`t tryed it yet.

I have not used 4227 in mine. I have only used 2400 in the 9 plus grain range.

I got lucky with mine and the 5 gr of Unique load. I also found a bullet mine really likes. I am using a 120 plain base from a group buy here many years ago run by Willbird. I have a 311316 mould but it casts too small. I need to reBeagle it. With 1 layer of tape it still only goes .312 at best.

I just received one of the new 311316 group buy moulds, maybe it will like Unique...it drops about .314 It`s getting rather wintery up here right now to test things.

3.9 grains of red dot pushing a 115 grain 32-20 lead boolit is accurate, clean burning and close to 1000fps. Read Paco Kelly's info on his web site and John Taylor's info on the 32-20. You may find that you will like the AA 2015 powder charge they recommend as the best all around.

Or you can increase the 2400 to 10 grains and see what accuracy you get. It works well in my rifles and pistols. Your Browning will certainly handle it.
