I am starting to reload .223 on a Dillon and am curious what powders work and meter well. I have used H335 in .223 with single stage and it worked well. I am also thinking of trying BL(C)2.
Thanks for any thought.

335,322,748,blc2,ramshot exterminator/Tac, wc844/846 and benchmark all meter very well and work good for progressive loading 223 or 308s.

I've been using BL-c2 on my 550 and it meters good and consistent. I have some 335 but haven't had time to try it. FB

BLC works better w .308 than 5.56. AA2200 is a great powder for 5.56 and 6.8 and meters very, very well.

AA2230 is my go to on the dillon. Accurate, easy, safe, and some of the cheapest powder available.

I have been using Varget when loading on my dillion, it meters very well also use BLC2 with no problems just not as accurate as varget.

another good one.

I load a LOT of 223 on a 550. My powders of preference are as follows:
#1 H335
#2 AA2200
#3 W748
These powders are flexible for 223 loads, meter well, have good case volume, and are remarkably consistent from lot to lot.

Being a stick powder, would think it would hang up and bridge.

The military is using WCC-844, aka H335. You are already there, try 27gr with the 55gr bullets.

Accurate arms XMR2015 works well for 55 gr and below bullets.. I used up 2 - 8 pound cans loading 223 with it.. about 2250 rounds per 8#.

I didnt have real good luck with metering varget through a dillon or hornady measure. I gave good accuracy but i just couldnt trust the powder dump.
I have been using Varget when loading on my dillion, it meters very well also use BLC2 with no problems just not as accurate as varget.

I don't have the big selection that you guys have, but have found that Win748 meters better than just about anything else available. I use ADI powders mainly (marketed in the States as Hodgson because Winchester are a lot more expensive.
