I have been asked to test a few 200 gr .338 cal boolits at velocities of 2100 fps. Now the kicker they gotta be shot in my 338 RUM, for those of you not familiar with this case, it holds between 90 and 100 grains of smokeless powder. is there a load using Unique that will work? or do I need to find a different powder.

thanks for the help and replies

Josh

It seems I can use trail boss to my desired effect, I found a pdf from IMR that says a full case of Trail Boss in any cartridge will not be over pressure... So... WTH lets try it.

richard lee also done a velocity pressure reduction predictor for many powders.
i followed it out with 4895 powder and it was in the ball park.
in a case size like you suggest i'd be starting out with a filler.....
