I came across a lyman 450229 mold, it is a point pour hollow base, any info anybody has would be appreciated
sorry I got the mold number wrong in the thread title

................The 450225 was a slug designed for the Colt and Remington cap and ball revolters. Your 450229 was an improved version with a hollow or cupped base. Floodgate would know when they wer dropped from Lyman's catalog.

#450225: 1901 - 1961;
#450229HB: 1951-1983. This cherry number was "borrowed" from an obsolete #308229 that was listed only in 1904, and only as a "sspecial order" item.
