Hi
With the red hot interist in making .224 cal bullets from RF cases,I don't hear much about making cores. Mostly the dies . Getting cores must be fustrating to most. Years ago I used the bottom of a 4 cavity mold to make a eight cavity core mold. I had to make a new cut off plate and drill some new holes in the block but it all works . The weight is fixed at 45grains and this makes 55 grain bullets. Lighter ones if I swage the cores. Production is about 1000 to 1100 a hour. I had a adjustable four cavity Corbin mold but that just didn't cut it.
Now there is something out there that could be of real help. Lee makes their Six cavity mold blocks available as a blank. It looks long enough to make a ten cavity or maybe a twelve cavity core mold out of. Now that is production. If you already have the mold blocks ,perhaps the bottom could be used too.
I know some of you use lead wire . For me that just didn't seem the way to go.
Has anybody looked into the Lee blocks for this?

I just looked at Mighty Thor's thread about his core mold. He beat me to that.
