Have been using White Lable Canuba Red for rifle loads now for quite awhile, and with a lot of sucess. Btroj and I were at the range this a.m. and I had my new Sav. Anzi, and my Sav 112 both in 223 with me. Shot 225646, 225438HP's, 225415's, and Lee Bators out of both of them. Temps were in the low 40's with winds from 15-20+ estimated. With both rifles, it was not until the bbls were warmed up that they would shoot groups. The thin bbl Anzi took about 5 rounds to settle down, and then would stay under an inch at 50 yds. The 112 with heavy bbl took at least 10 rounds before it was warm enough to start grouping. On warm days of say 70 degrees and above, usually the 1st or 2nd shot was adequate before they would start grouping. It is obvious that this lube is not cold weather friendly. Am looking for a 150-200 yd p-dog load that is in the 2500-2600 fps level with 223 cast. Think it will be the Canuba Red, as temps when shooting dogs seems to range from 60's in the a.m. to sometimes approaching 100 in the afternoon. However, for cold weather, think I will have to find a lube that is friendly at under say 55-60 degrees. Any recommendations?

try my TAC or TAC#1 I shoot it in cold weather all the time
TAC is the softer version without carnauba wax
TAC#1 is the version with 1 ounce of carnauba added
I sell the lube or the kits to make your own with all the ingredients and instructions
Just click the link in my signature line below that says " Need bullet lube"

And a guy from northern Wisconsin knows what cold is.

I am giving him some MMl to try. I have found it to work well in colder weather so far.

MML is a proven solution to the Carnauba Red "cold barrel/cold weather syndrome".

I don't doubt that Randyrat's lubes will do well too.
