Dang oldest boy has been bitten by the lever gun animal.
He was out prowling around the local shops and found a good deal.
Picked up a 2002 1894 Marlin CB in 45 Colt for $575 out the door.
Best thing is the boy no longer has to mess with dad's!
Then again I did get sucked into casting and loading for him!

That in a nice looking rifle. And it looks like he has an excuse to start casting with you now.

Good luck with the new rifle!:redneck:
I hope your son is as pleased with the Cowboy as I am.

Of course that means he will need to take booster shots for the rest of his life.

I don't want to be the one to break the bad news to you, but after being bitten, your son's chances of ever recovering are almost nil...:bigsmyl2:

I haven't seen my 1894 44mag in months! Son took and killed 3 deer with it off his place.

I will get it back when he runs out of that ammo!

I doubt it, you'll just get a request for more ammo :)

Nope - I told him that I needed to rework that load - they have been loaded for about 9 years and they were a max load. Many lots of powder since then and different lots of lead too!

Those get loaded in Rem Nickel plated cases. I think he has about 30 of them left - I only gave him about 40 of them to begin with.

Guess we all know about apples not falling far from the tree. You taught him to appreciate fine leverguns, seems loading and casting should come natural to him.
