My good friend and mentor passed after a battle with cancer, he is now at rest.

He was a Vietnam vet ( SEABEE ), a policeman, an EMT, welder, welding instructor and my partner when I rode on the streets as a Reserve Deputy.

It is a great loss and I will surely miss his, he was like a brother to me.

God rest his soul. I am sorry for your loss. I have lost a friend also back in 1999. He was a WWII vet and a top turret gunner on a B-17G. He was the only friend I could confide in. So I can relate to your loss.

May God bless you and Johnny Huff's family. I'm sure he will be sorely missed.

Sorry for the loss of a fine man. He gave alot to this world and we are diminished by his passing.
Sorry for your loss too, I lost my best friend of 40 years (brother from a different mother) a couple of years ago and it still hurts

It's a surprising thing to see how many Vets came home to be police officers.
I followed that same course myself along with many others.
When that were made up I first joined as a reserve deputy to see what it was all about, I found several squads that were all vets. Almost every instructor I had while in training was a vet.
That shows that certain men are dedicated to help and serve others as their life's work.
May he rest in peace. He has now come home.
