Hello from the flyover country:

While I have been on other shooting forums for quite a while, I am new to this one. Pulling triggers has been a major part of my life for the past 62 yrs and suspect that this will continue.

For those who do not know who your elected officials are or how to contact them, it's very easy by using this e-link.

If you are not an NRA member, consider joining, send an e-mail to your representatives and congressman or woman, get invloved! Just keep it to the point and respectful. It doesn't matter what political affiliation you subscribe to because the issue goes much deeper than that. Our constitutional right to own and responsibly use firearms is at risk as never before.

In light of the storm created by the Zumbo incident, this could be an opportune time to band together to make our voices heard. Not so much by the political leaders of gun control but by the majority of our elected officials who we don't hear about every day and generally follow the party line. There is no doubt in my mind that they are looking at 2008 with eager anticipation and I for one will remind them that it is approaching.

HR 1022, the Mc Carthy bill, has recently been introduced in congress. This is the most far reaching anti-gun legistation in history. Even more so that the 1968 GCA. It must be defeated! For a synopsis of this bill go to http://castbulletassoc.org/forum/. under the thread HR 1022.

At any rate, please do something!
