Just a thought, I have a Savage model 10 Law enforcement in .308 with a heavy barrel in a Chaote "John Plaster" stock. I have a great scope, bipod, and suppressor on this rifle, I just wish it had a little more a**. Is it possible to rechamber it in 300 win mag, or should I just go shopping for a new rifle if I want to go a little farther.

IMO
Go for s new rifle
As the 10 is a short action and the 300WM is a long action cart.
Unless you want a single shot
I bet the 300 WM would not fit in the mag

Hadn't thought of that magazine bit... How about 300WSM...

The .300WSM would be doable, with a new bolthead and probably a magazine and folower.
I think I would get a new barrel for this, or else take a chamber cast and measure the neck carefully. It would be the pits to go to all that trouble and end up with a two diameter neck because the reamer you used was smaller than the factory chamber.

I think the WSM's were done on a large shank.
