just tried shooting round balls in my 44mag sbh and was impressed with the results. two balls over 6grn unique at about 7yds and they printed within an inch of each other. they were cast using a lee 45 rb mold and 25%ww 75%pure mix, ran through .430 sizer the tricky part was keeping the sized part square wtih the casemouth when seating.
The suprizing part was after 5 rounds no leading I smeared my home made lube over the first ball after seating it just below the case mouth then with sprue mark down to index ball to the sized part seated justover the sized ring around the ball and crimped just enough to hold in place with moderate thumb pressure.
nice load for home defence and wont penetrate my house and the 2 nieghbors houses
