On Christmas day I heard the my fiancee's grandfather has a Model 94 in 32 Win Spl that was made during the 50's. He claims that it is in excellent condition (I will need to verify this), but if it is in good shape, what would be a fair offer? I have wanted one of these for a while and don't want to make an offer that is unfair to either of us.

Thanks,
Branden

The 50's model 94's are one of the least sought after of the earlier models. I bought a 25-35 and a 32 win special pretty cheap. I'd have to go back and see what I paid, but I think the 25-35 was 600 and the 32 was 400.

iv'e seen them from 350 up through 700.
they are desirable, but condition and age is everything.
and where you are in the country, they are a bit more out here.
