I picked up this mold a while back in a package on fleabay (yes, I do go there occasionally, but I'm trying to quit - honest!) It was basically thown in with a Lyman 450 and a few other items that I had a use for.

It's a 3 cavity 9mm round nose mold, but it has no identifying markings on it whatsoever. It's all blued steel, including the handles, which are threaded into the mold blocks. It appears to be very well made.

It's in pretty good condition overall and locks up very tight, but could use a little polishing in the cavities. Interestingly, there are no vent lines.

The one time I tried to use it, I had a little trouble getting the boolits to drop free. Admittedly though, that was one of my very first attempts at casting, and I've learned a thing or two since then. I tried a little of that graphite mold release, which is what you see on the cavities. It's been sitting in one of my ammo boxes for a couple of years now.

So, anyone seen another like this? Any idea who made it? Any help would be appreciated.

looks well made.
that is a pretty common cherry i have one just like it in a magma engineering mold.
i'd do a little lapping of the mold and get that gunk out of it.

Looks like high grade home-made. Whoever made was a good craftsman for sure.
