Glad you got a good group at 100 yds but 1 group does not a load make. With handguns I take an average of 4 to 5 five or six shot groups at the given range. That average is what I consider the gun capable of. I have never had an average of 100 yd groups be smaller than an average of 50 yd groups with the same load.

2-6 shot groups in one day is enough to get me excited
the farthest being the smallest
alot of people use 25 yd groups at that rate I just shot 24 boolits

Good on you if you can do it on demand. I sure can't.

I've never heard of it with a revolver, but rifle, yes. Boolits precess like a top then settle down. Some of the fast 22s do shoot better at longer distances than short not uncommon. My revolver shooting skill hasn't let me see that with my revolvers yet, but the physics should be the same. So I would think yes it is possible, but not demonstrable for most.

Not usually, 100 yard groups are about twice 50 yards but you could have held better so I would say it was only you.
Then I shot a 1-5/16" group at 200 yards so I attribute just my vision that day. Never ask me for a repeat! :bigsmyl2:
Some want an average of so many shots but that can be beat with proper loads. 3 shots, 5 shots or 20 shots will all be good and day to day will not change if all is right. Luck is gone and good loads appear.
Any of you that come here to shoot can hit a 1" target at 100 with my one revolver. Unless you need Braille, of course! [smilie=l:
How I loved that post! Best ever and I laugh every time I think of it. [smilie=s:
