The 27FEB Colbert Report had a segment on the Zumbo incident. Anyone see it?

I was told that when Colbert described what happened and that Zumbo lost his job so to speak, the audience cheered..... I found that interesting!

I didn't see the show, but I'm not surprised at the audience reaction. Although by and large, I consider Zumbo's exile to be a good thing, enemies of the Second Amendment will see this as infighting amongst ourselves. Divide and conquer is an ancient military doctrine. We've got to be very carefull about who, and how many we choose to make examples of.

too bad we can't rally and attack these antigunners like this b---- from New York the same ferocity that we attacked Zumbo.

I think you guys have the wrong slant on politicians and media people. I'd bet that 90% of them don't give a rat's a** one way or the other on guns; The politicians simply take whatever stance they think will get them the most votes in their area, and the media say what they think their audience wants to hear. Front runners with no guts or integrity in either case, hang 'em all.

starts working on re-election.
its all about the money

politicians should be allowed one term as a representative, one as a senator and then out...but they have built themselves a golden goose egg in retirement benefits...there should be none!
its all about power and money..not about public service.

Sturf, Who says we can't? We can, we could, and we should. The real question is if we ever will, or are we going to uselessly harangue each other forever?

I believe Zumbo hurt us in more ways than one. A wolf in sheep's clothing can begin destruction from within.

I've thought that picking a candidate on all three levels of government and go about destroying him or her, like the Swift Boat people did with Kerry.
The politicians pay some attention to their supporters, but they really focus on a large group that goes after them individually.

SCROUNGER I think your wrong.a number of pols are actively trying to disarm this country for socialist reasons.Mcarthy was right in saying we were inundated with communists.in the end they distroyed him.however it was proved he was right when a number of gov employes were fired or went to prison.if you think of the actual results of gun control, distroying lives confiscation of gun colections.gun "buybacks"where a lot of collector guns are distroyed then its not for votes.

I've always maintained that we (or the NRA) get 10 times more good out of our money if we amassed it and used it as a big stick threat against one or more politicians instead of parceling out in dibs and dabs (with a high overhead) to our so called friends who don't really like us and will stab us in the back the first chance they get. The millions of dollars we're talking about here would be much more effective as a huge club hanging over hundreds of scummy politicians instead of buying ice cream cones for a few.My two piastres.

I'm an NRA life member and think they do some good but am I the only one who has noticed the when one group is in office that the dam stupid crap law they get passed never get repealed or changed when the other group gets in, we may have had 6 years of no assaults on us but the dumb crap from the last bunch is still there. I've come believe that MOST (as in the fence sitters that really make the difference in elections) Americans are a dumb bunch of sheep that can be lead around by the media and they are a pendulum that looks for the hype of change every 4 to 8 years, so no amount of money or threats will ever change a dam thing in this country. But what the hell do I know?

There's only one group, Ewok, half of them just wear different colored jerseys during game time. They're all alike inside, putrid and evil smelling.

If you won't try, If you believe that it cannot be done, you've lost. Recognize that and move on. Get another hobby. After that point the opposition needn't do anything.
