Encore pistol and lead

Hey guys, im new here from western, md I have a encore pistol barrel coming from bullberry barrelworks in 6.5x54 MS any one run cast in it? If so how's it work?

Welcome the boolit forum!! I am not savy on 6.5x54. I do shoot a .308 Encore with 150 gr. cast gas check over 22 gr. of 2400. I just started so I can't give specs on accuracy but it doesn't beat me up like j-bullets on full power. No leading and seems more accurate than I am. Good luck, Rod

I believe this is the round that J.D. Jones originally chambered 6.5 barrels too. This was before he designed the JDJ cartridges.
Also read an article in an old magazine recently that the author was loading for a Cantender and a bolt rifle.
It is hard to find a 6.5 cartridge with the proper size bullet or boolit that does not shoot well. And that barrel should be no exception.

Thanks for the replies guys, a member here is sending me a few 170 gr lee boolits to try out, Fred, the guy making the barrel advised me to go with 140 gr boolits. So I will see how these guys pan out.

Years ago when I was competing in Silly Wett I used to order alot of barrels from Fred. He used to guarantee MOA with his barrels or money back.

Fred still holds the same guarantee and does everything to make a customer happy. I really want a 357 B&D!
