Absolutely I will. I have all my family stuff on Christmas Eve and my present to myself is to spend at least half the day in front of my pot.

Yep. There is that, too.

But I have a bunch cast up already. So no rush to cast yet more.

NO ! I usually do my casting & lube sizing in the month of Febuary . I make enough to top off each of my bulk bullet storage containers , which is usually about 10,000 bullets per year . i probley have about 50,000+ bullets on hand at any one time.
I never cast any other time unless i would get a new bullet mould ! then im like a kid with a new toy.
Happy Holidays To All !

No, but I will be reloading on Christmas Eve. Got divorced this summer and it will be the first time without being around the kids on Christmas eve for 17 years. I will have the kids on Christmas and will be spending the day with my side of the family. On the upside, the ammo I will reloading is .45 acp and 6.8 spc for the kids to blast away with on the 26th. Might take the shotguns along and throw some bluerock too. Nothing says Happy Holidays like the smell of burnt powder and a little bit of recoil :)

At my tender age, I don't make any decisions until I am at the breakfast table, drinking coffee.

That said, I probably will be casting on Christmas day. I need more 38 and 357 bullets for the latest stash of empty brass I have discovered.

I'm with you on that, retired 3 years ago, have no time clock, no calandar..

After 47 years straight of school, military, work or some combination of the three, my last day at work was January 18, 2008. I drove the 41 miles home, made a pot of the world's best coffee and took off my watch. I've not worn a watch since. For a looooong time after that my wife would kid me about not knowing what day it was. Many times she thought I was faking it. She retired about a month ago.

My dear wife now has a hard time keeping up with what day it is. We know it's Wednesday because we can hear the garbage truck in the neighborhood. I don't chastise her about it; I just  .

I have been, and still are, many things. But one thing I've always been is a planner. I seriously began planned for retirement in 1977 and worked that plan. It took sacrifice and such but I'm here to tell you it was worth the effort. Life is good.

Nope. The plans for the 25th are thus:

Wake up to the kids opening their stockings.
Wait for their grandparents to arrive.
Breakfast
Open presents under the tree.
Go to church
Come home and help the kids with their toys, hang out and generally enjoy the day with the wife and kids.

Now, might get some casting in on the 26th, and I'm going coyote hunting on the 27th.

Let's see - I cast yesterday (Mihec #68 .452 200 gr swc) and I am sizing this morning. It could very well be casting time Christmas.

We are retired and the kids and grand kids live out of town (sniff:sad:, so they won't be here).

I could use some .358 dbl ended wadcutters - my six cavity iron H&G for the H&G #251 is calling to me...

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you ALL!

No, busy today and tomorrow with family, but I made up for it in advance.
Yesterday in about 1 hour. Second set of 45's in my 3rd casting session ever.
These 6 cavity Lee molds produce boolits fast!
After the warmup, the boolits literally drop out of the mold.

Note the festive place mat. My wife was about to throw them out, but the scrounger in me said "I can find a use for them"

I did cast on Christmas day.

After I ran out in the back yard and discovered my new gift:

fed 16 rounds of this boolit without a hitch: http://leeprecision.com/xcart/MOLD-DC-TL452-230TC.html

I cast a pot full to celebrate.

Had nothing to do on Christmas. So I fired up the pot and cast 4 pots of my Ideal .357 wadcutter. Wound up with over 600 after culling for my T C to shoot field pistol with.

Well, all the in-laws, outlaws, kid and grandkids, and relatives live out of town and I was on call, luckily it was pretty peaceful around here. The sweetie and I woke up around 2'ish A.M Friday through Monday, thanked the Lord for our blessings, and enjoyed the quiet weekend together. It would have been nice to have been able to spend time with the kid and grandkids, but my foreman has held down the fort for most years and the past couple of years we have started swapping off. He deserves the time with his family as well.

I was being hammered by a sinus infection which slam dunked me starting mid week, but I still managed to get out and pour up several hundred boolits of different flavors, and get several more hundred which I had previously cast all lubed, sized and ready to load this coming weekend.

I have 4 more days being on 24hr call, then I give it back to my foreman. I'll be in town again this weekend but will be cranking out handloads for several revolvers. Then I will be burning up the HWY come Thursday, headed to the woods to try and put some pork on the ground with my freshly loaded boolits.
