He likes it so far. I'm gonna try to sneak out today or tomorrow and pop a few factory loads through it.
I've never fooled with the cartridge.
We were looking at Ranch Dog's 32-20 bullet. Diameter is listed as .313". Is this large enough for that gun's throats (if anybody's ever checked them)?
Also, as it is designed for a marlin .32-20 chamber & throat, will it be too long for a Blackhawk cylinder?
Load wise, we were looking at either enough 2400 for 1200fps or enough 296 for 1400fps (that might be a little stout, input would be appreciated).

Thanks guys.

I've just bought the same BH, but due to family issues have not gotten to fire the first shot through it. :groner:

I can say however, that the 3118 (later renamed the 311008) is my go-to bullet design for any pistol caliber that starts with ".32" and has anything else after it. I like it so much I ordered a 314008 on the NOE group buy and am waiting on it with bated breath. I expect that bullet, with minimal if any sizing, to be my main bullet for the .327 FM. :Bright idea:

Hey VA Shooter, we've still gotta get together and compare notes on our respective .327 loads when the weather breaks in the Spring.:Fire:

I have the eight shot Blackhawk. I use the NOE molds, 115 grain cast boolits sized to .313 and pushed by a max load of AA#9. It does kick some, but is clean shooting with no leading.

Hey Froggie I was thinking the same the wife asked me what I wanted for X-MAS and I told her 500 pack of 327 brass just got some powder pistol after I got the load data that you sent me thanks. Alot of the powders that I use for 45 colt should work well in the 327 talk to you soon
