I just bought one of the last surplus Lee TLC432-285-RF. It is casting between .431 and .432 just like everyone said. I want to size it to .431 with my Saeco Lubrisizer. Can I size it using the regular lube I have been using or do I need to Alox coat it and then size it without the regular lube.?

In other words use the lubrisizer without pressure on the lube chamber. I don't have any experience using the Saeco with tumble lube bullets and need advice.

I tried it in my RCBS and it worked.. sorta.I just used the lube that was in the sizer. I didn't do too many, though. Go ahead and experiment!

I have used Lee .32 - 85 gr WC - TL in my sizer (RCBS) and lubed with the sizer without difficulty. In fact, I did several thousand that way and had good results.

Try it and see.

I occasionally size (no lube) boolits in my Star and Lyman sizers. It's easier and faster if every fifth boolit or so has some case sizing lube on it.

I did 400 .452/230 TC TL bullets a couple of weeks ago on a LAM II.

I lubed them with conventional lube (came with the LAM II) and everything worked out OK. Minimal leading. These bullets lead with ALOX too so no real difference from a useablilty standpoint.

You'll just have to try and see. I tried lubing some that I had already tumbel lubed and there was not enough surface gap left to lube again in the lyman luber. There is also the question of yes it may work but not get enough lube to keep leading down. try it and see.

Possum, I often lube a 240gr. Lee TL SWC in a .432" H & I die (slightly oversize for that particular CB) and have had no problems whatsoever with leading or accuracy. TL'ing them with undiluted liq. alox works, but I get better lube coverage, no sticky mess and less/no leading by running them through the lube-sizer (Lyman #450).

I did a test with lee tl 9mm bullets once. I tumble lubed then not sized tumble lubed them sized. Sized and lubed them convetionaly and sized and lube conventionaly and then tumble lubed. I didnt see much difference in the way any of them shot or leaded but that was with a sub 1000 fps load. Dont know how theyd work if you shot them faster.

I'm probably not going to shoot this bullet much over 1000fps. Thanks for all the replies. The wealth of knowlege is staggering. :drinks:
