So I was running a total firearms-related inventory for insurance purposes when I realized...

My old 95 F150 is on the other side of 260K. Yep most any pair of my guns is worth more than my truck. I don't have any magazines.

My 96 F150 has 263,000 miles and going strong! It nickle and dimes me a lot but better than a 4 - 500 dollar payment!

I have quite a few magazines for my M1A's and AR's. Mebbe 20 for the 1911's. I bet they are worth more than my truck!

Makes a fellow kinda proud!

Good morning
Best truck I ever had was a 1978 Ford Van with the srtaight 6 300 cube 3 speed. Regeared the differencial for the high. That was one great running beast. Got 17 miles a gallon. When we were down in Mexico for the year of 85 discovered at above 75 mph it would get 18+ MPG or maybe the gas was better there ? At 80 mph it was just a joy to drive. We gave it to another missionary when it had 200K + as we were headed here in Peru.
Magazine value adds up real fast... bought a bucket full of new in the wrapper M1 Carbine mags back in 1989 for $1 a piece.. Today I see them selling for $25. Should have bought 2 buckets ! Mike in peru

Nothing wrong with that. My collection is worth well over my cars value.

I have one rifle that is worth more than my old 89 Ford, but I said in 89 that I would keep the F250 until it quit. But I think I am going to quit before it does. What gets me is in 89 I paid $13,000 Tax Title and transfer for it HD trailer package all power, one equipped like it is $40,000 + now, can't replace it haven't got enough money.

I got a 1989 Bronco(full size) 300/6 cy 200 hundred grand on the miles get about 14 miles to the gallon. and only 17 more payments and its all mine. its like an old buddy don't use it much anymore but when I need it its there and always starts after setting for months. and will do what I need it to. and runs like a top. The least number of magizines I have for an auto is five for a Tanfoglio 9mm. Then there are about 50 1911 mags in 45 and 38 Super, 18 Para P-14 mags, 16 38 Super EAA Witness, 12 40S&W/41 AE mags for EAA witness and over 40 30 rd AR mags. I stocked up on hi-cap mags before the ban went into effect and sent a magizine order to Denny's Shooters Supply for just short of $800.00! Total value is probably more than our 2005 Ford Focus!

I'm going to have to do a full inventory and list them so the wife doesn't get ripped off when they lite my fire!

I'm probably in the same boat. I stocked up when they were cheap.

This is why I have no magazines, only clips.
