A few weekends ago I mixed up a batch with 50 lbs of ww, 50 lbs of PB, 10 lbs of linotype, and 7 lbs of hard shot. I cast 47 lbs for a friend of mine then sat down yesterday and laid out the rest for myself. I started the day at 8:19 and at 8:24 cast the first bullet. It was great casting weather. About 6 hours later I finished this batch and started another mold. The bullet was a Saeco 384 9mm. Water Dropped.

And the finished box of lead.... Very heavy....

Next I changed over to my standby .44 mold- a Ballisticast SWC Number 1103. Today it didn't want to throw good bullets so I broke out the ladle and it worked great. The alloy was 50/50 WW/PB with a little tin solder. 400 bullets or so later I turned off the pot. 9 hours of casting.

This morning I broke out the San Diego H&G 81 two cavity mold. I have probably had it 5 years and this is the first time I have used it. I I ladle cast for a few hours and this is the result....
