does anyone have the lee 459-500-3r mould. what size are you boolits dropping i started messing with mine today. i ran the melt up to 850 degrees. it is a two hole`r mould i only cast in the front hole and they were droping small .455 .456. i was wondering what everyone one else was getting. i was useing 20 to 1. it says the mould is +.003 to -.001 depending on alloy. thanks dave

Send the mold back, you will never get those small boolits to shoot.

Mine casts ~0.461" with straight WW.
Weight runs 469g -- way lighter than the advertised 500g.....
Stuck in the mold like a bugger until I Lee-mented it good with
JB Bore paste.
Thanks
John

Boommer...
Your mould must've come out of the same production run as mine - .459 right on the money with 30/1 and with no measureable out of round.

The one I had was .458 and I could never get it to shoot with BP. Too small for my Browning.
Then I read on the BPCR site that the long pointy nose might slump. I never tried WW with it.
