Looking for a scope for a 10/22 project. I was thinking in the 14 to 16 power range and would like it to be somewhat compact. It will mostly be used off a bench from 25 to 200 yds.
Any reccomendations?

Center Point from Wally world. About $70, toss the rings that come with it, I used Burris signature.

I use a Simmons 3x9-40 that comes on Savage package guns, the scope is so common you can usually find hem used really cheap. At 100 yards my 10/22 is no where near accurate enough to warrant a higher power scope.

Mueller 4.5x14 APV. Nice scope and the parallax is adjustable down to 10 yards. Might be a little bigger than you want though at 13 3/4 long. I have mine on a semi tricked out 10/22

Leupold 6.5x20 EFR with target knobs is exactly what you need.

As far as scope how much can you spend on it? That can be deciding factory - I'm using Bushnell on mine.

I have a simmons 6.5-20 on my savage mk2 it shoots 2" groups at 100 yards. I like my 20x super sniper but no adjustability for closer than 100 yards but you can see every hole.

on my 22 lr rifles i have a 3.5x10 leupold with a AO & target knobs and a 4x12 Burris with AO & target knobs either will group in 1 inch at 100 yards .
i also regulary shoot them at 200 yards as 100 yards from the bench is just to predicatble .
