What kind of competition? Smallbore benchrest, silhouettes, lever action silhouettes, sportsmans team challenge....../

I used to shoot 4 position bulls eye matches years ago but do not do so anymore. I do shoot 22 Silhouette matches out to 200 yards about every month and they are gangs of fun. I shot my last match last Saturday and scored a 29 but I would have done better if I had not had a brain short and moved my windage knob the wrong way. Before I found and corrected this screw up I missed 3 targets so only got 7 rams down in lieu of my usual 10 This cost me the match in my class.

I shoot smallbore prone and position. I have a pretty tight schedule, a match pretty much every 2 weeks all winter long (air rifle too) plus 2 leagues and once spring comes I still shoot smallbore plus high power and black powder too.

Here I am shooting smallbore prone and position.

I belong to a club here in North East Indiana that shoots twice a month 4 position smallbore indoor in the winter and 50 yard prone small bore in the summer. Quite a challenge for us "older" shooters. I use a Rem 40x in the summer and an Anschutz 64 in the winter.

Nice rifles sbowers! I have a couple of 52C's but I do not have a 12/15 or a 75. I do have a BSA MkIII but I've wanted a 75 for years. Is that a Davis Spot Shot scope on your C?

Hip's Axe that is a Litschert Spot Shot 20X and I realy like it except for the fact it has a 1/8 target dot and I prefer the thin cross hairs only. I have a fecker that I am going to put on the 75 so I can shoot it in both classes, peep and scoped.

How about IHMSA smallbore out to 100m with a handgun. On another fourm they had praire dog shoot best group at 50 yd with iron sights. Youd down load the target , shoot your 5 shot group , take a pic, post it up. We could mix it up handguns, rifles I think I still have the link to the target.

Hello, sbowers. Last summer I finally got to shoot my reduced creedmoor targets at 100yds. prone. I have an older book Americans And Their Guns. In it are detailed drawings and dimensions of the old chilled cast-iron 1000yd. targets the NRA imported from England for use at Creedmoor range. in the 1870's & 80's.
I reduced these for 100yd. shooting..that black bull is only 3.6" and looks like a pencil dot thru irons.
Had been years since I shot any prone..the old bod sure protested..and paid me back the next day!
The rifle I was using is a BSA 12/15 with custom fancy english walnut stock & 30"
1" at muzzle brl. This beast is heavy!
Anyway, I tried with sling, then a wrist rest..I was able to keep most in the black with these helps..but found myself resting between shots.
Then I tried with no artificial support at all..just as the 1876 rules specified..now that is tough with a heavy rifle!
Thought this would make a fun match..either shoulder to shoulder or postal.
I did consider contorting my carcass into one of those Creedmoor back positions...have to watch out for my toes!

Ok all that want to participate in a postal match sign up here and I will get a set of rules made up and a link to the target that wil be used. There will be 2 divisions "scoped" and "iron sights" there will be different targets for each division. So lets get it on folks.

Now that I have more time, I AM IN. I will be scoped division.

P.S. I am jealous of your guys' guns. Those are some good looking pieces.

Marshal you should let your daughter shoot that and watch her kick all of our butts.
