It seems my throats are a little tight. The slug from the barrel wouldn't drop through the throats but would push through with thumb pressure. I'm thinking the throats should be a bit bigger. Am I off base or not?

Sounds like the perfect size to me.

Ideally the throats are .001" larger than groove diameter of the barrel. SLug the barrel,
measure the throats with pin gauges.

Ditto:
If you can push bore slugs through with thumb pressure they are .0015" under throat diameter Or there about.
To push together a pin the same size as a bore takes a brass hammer or an arbor press. Zero clearance is a press fit not a slip fit.

I don't think you have a problem. Load and shoot and stop worrying about the small stuff.

Did you try all chambers?
If not go back and do all of them, then slug the largest chamber/throat and size to it!

Tried all six chambers. One was a little tighter than the other 5
