Could someone give me their input on a HP mold for the 50 Beowulf please?
I was thinking in the 350-400gr range, but don't know if that would be best.

Thank you for any and all advise,
Barry

The man to talk to is 101airborne. He has three of them and a couple of different moulds. Here's one of his boolits, cast from an NOE HP mould made just for the cartridge.

the trick is FINDING one, not enough interest to get a second group buy done, and the first buy is sold out, at least on the several molds I have tried..... I scored a used MiHec that I love but more is always better.

Ja, ya gotta love a hollow point that is over 30 caliber wide inside. LOL!
I was lucky that Al "Swede" Nelson is such a nice guy that when I mistakenly signed up for a 513 diamater mold, he corrected my assumption and cut me two completely custom molds. He may have a couple on the shelf, as when he cut mine, he theorized there would be more interest in the cartrige to come in the near future. I have been casting them from 25% WW, 75% pure, +2% tin. Expansion is incredible. Penetration is equally as impressive. I have only done wet sand tests, and am still waiting to shoot a breathing being with em. I am using 500 smith data minus 10%. I dont know if this is right, it is just what I am using. If published data is correct, my 450 grainers at 2000 fps should give 3200 foot pounds energy at the muzzle. Should be the equivalent of an internal hand grenade for pigs.

accurate molds makes a very close copy, see the 50-400E design.
He'll even cut it without the crimp groove.

we're still trying to get enough people together for a new MiHec GB - up to 18 now.

Oh, and Great Zombi work here ;-)

It was for both IIRC. and it has a crimp groove.

Gear, I want that mold! I have seen flying ashtrays but that is nuts...

Looks like a ramset could be glued right in without issue.

Well if someone could give the specs/drawing on the mold and If I can count correctly 9 people have stated they would love to get one, I would love 2 as well so we could get Al to do another run unless he has changed the minimum needed from 10...

The mold pictured in the original post appears to be the 502-430-RF RG2/4 listed on the NOE website. It shows 3 in stock of the 2 cavity mold, and 0 in stock of the 4 cavity mold. I'm thinking I might pull the trigger on a 2 cavity mold, not sure though. I'd be curious to see how it rivals the MiHec 502-385 hollowpoint mold I have sitting at home...
