Lets see them. Favorite Military rifles.

I only have a couple military rifles so I guess they are both my favorites.

My September 1909 built 1903 that I bought at a garage sale for $175 with an orignal 1905 bayonet and scabbard. Suprisingly she will drop bullets onto target at over 800 yards.
http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f208/dk17hmr/DSCF0005.jpg

Also have an M1 Garand, my dad gave to me for a Christmas gift that I dont shoot near enough. I have only had it out to 500 yards but it sure is alot of fun....PING

I NEED to take some photos of it but my fav (& only) military is a 1891 Argentine Mauser.
I do have a photo of what it does with cast boolits though :D
With open sights no less:mrgreen:

I want to say an Ideal 311329, weighs about 195gr, I would have to dig through my molds to see what the number is but I think its the 311329 .

Looks more like the 311365 to me.

I love that boolit![smilie=w:

Actually, come to think of it the nose profile of both of these are the same. Duh:killingpc

Coming close behind in 2nd place is my most recent acquisition. If you have a MILSURP interest I HIGHLY recommend the K31. A great "starter" rifle in the world of surplus. I absolutely love this rifle

6.5 Jap
One of two Dad brought back from Pearl Harbor.
There was a pile of them on the docks. Dad was told to take a couple for souvenirs.
He brought home this 6.5mm, and a 7.7mm that he sporterized in the late 1960's.
And several bayonets.

Picked up the Krag in front last night. When I got it home, set it next to the 03A3 I bought last year, I noted that the stocks were a lot alike. Small checkering difference is really it.

Thought I would share a pic.

This is my Milsup basic collection. I've grown very fond of the 1888 Commision rifles. Pictured is my best original but I also have two other complete rifles and two barreled actions.

Top to bottom,

1891 Danzig Commision rifle

Turk Model 35/38 Commision rifle. Front band missing, anyone have one?

ERA P14

Springfield 1898 Krag

All the pictured rifles have like new bores. My other Commision rifles have Excellent , 2 very good and one with a poor but, shootable bore.

Skeet, those Finns really shoot well. They put some nice usable sights on them, good barrels and a more usable stock.

Just for fun, here are a few 1903s and a Krag

Everybody has some really nice rifles. Here's mine. The second one from the top is my bubbaed 1903 Rem/1903a3. The only thing that is 1903 Rem. is the entire action. Everything else is 1903a3. The handguard was busted up bad and I thought about drilling and tapping barrel for rear sight but, since this pic was took, I drilled and tapped for a Williams 5D. I need to get another 1903a3 handguard.
