I've been away from Mi for so long I can't tell one from another.
We trout, bass and ocean fish here. Heck even the rainbows are planted.:bigsmyl2:

I hate these posts, they make me so hungry :bigsmyl2:

Tom tell me more about your pellet smoker or grill or whatever it is, I heat with pellets but have not heard of these other devices.
Thanks

Mine is a Traeger I have the Lil Tex Elite, I just can't praise it enough.
They use a food grade pellet. There is a place in OR called Pellet Grill Outlet avoid them at all cost.

Do you have to use certain pellets in a grill vs a stove?

I've looked at them but never really paid attention.
I love beer can chicken! I've never had pike.

Last night we had canned deer meat mixed with canned carrots in a gravy over smashed taters.
I shot the deer with my home cast boolit. The carrots and taters came from our garden this summer.
Talk about a complete homemade meal. Very satisfying.

Pellets for my grill are food grade what ever that means I'm thinking pecan, hickory, apple, oak etc with a no additives.
Stove pellets I think are made from corn of some sort.

I've been thru 120 pounds so far they come in 20 pound bags.

Our idea of fish, taken a few years ago, these are yellowtail and a 150 pound black sea bass at my feet.

I don't think I could clean those in the kitchen sink!

Stove pellets are made from wood, hard or softwood, my stove does very well using a softwood pellet.
