Just got this message....be careful out there....what a loss...

Dave Higginbotham was killed this morning by an accidental discharge from a rifle he was removing from the back of a vehicle.

Keep Katha in your prayers and I'll get more information to you as it becomes available.

The arrangements are not final but the funeral should be Saturday at Mims Baptist Church in Conroe, I will email out the time tomorrow. He will be buried in New Mexico near his ranch. In lue of flowers please ma a donation to American Center for Law and Justice, this organization was dear to Dave.

Bill Pace told me Wednesday night. I did not get my computer back until last night, and just got back to this board. I apologize for not thinking to post sooner. (Could have done it from work.) If you never met Dave personally, he was the type of Guy we all aspire to be. He was a sign post in our universe. Please keep Katha in your prayers.

I am somewhat in a state of shock...I was just at his shop 3 or 4 weeks ago to drop off a #1 RRB to line the barrel...22WCF to 25-20. I still have photos of him and his pet russian boars on my cell phone...sigh...Life is precious. I don't want to push the issue for a while but if any of you you have contact information (Other than his shop phone #) for future retrieval of my rifle I'd appreciate it.

Dave was a nice person the world has lost a good man. Prayers to hs family
