Anyone tried just plain Johnson Paste wax for lube? If it would work it would save a lot of time.

fryboy, thanks for the link. I tried the search engine, but apparently didn't type in the correct words.

Couple of years or so ago, Boerrancher was doing some extensive experimentation with just straight JPW. Used straight, it worked well for some loads and not so well in others if I recall correctly.

It works great for a friend who shoots .40 minor. I tried it and got a huge amt of leading shooting .45 major. Went with Recluse Lube and it is the cats meow!

It works for me on the Lee TL230-2R 45 boolit, did not work for me in .40 smith. I use WWVA right now which uses JPW as an ingredient, no leading in either but I don't TL the TL boolits these days.
