Dave , you use soda cans for pb bullet check maker? Once i see how this check maker works I might order a pb maker for my 45 colt ruger bh.

I got one a while back in .44 cal. It's a lot of fun to experiment with using different materials. I found soda cans to be too thin (about .007") for my Lyman mold and tried doubling up the can material. I tried brass shim stock but the stuff I had in the shop (from McMaster Carr) was a bit too hard (.012" and .014") Mebbe if I anneal it. I found different beverage cans were made of different thicknesses of alum.; Bud Light "bottle cans" being heavier than soda cans. So, yep they work, mebbe slow but much better (and a heck of a lot more fun) than paying $35+ per thousand, plus shipping, for Hornady gaschecks...
