The accurate book list 49.4 gr of 2015 with a jacketed 265 gr bullet. That is more velocity than I want out of my Winchester. I'd like to hit 1850fps, and if I did my math right, 33.0 gr of 2015 should put me at that velocity +/-. Anyone see a problem with dropping the charge that low?

Well this is of no help but I'm shooting a LBT 433-320GC bullet with 50 grains of XMR2015 . Don't ask the velocity as I have no idea I've never run it over the chronograph . I can say however that it shoots about 1 1/2" at 100 yards for 3 shots with a Weaver 2 1/2-5 power scope .

I'm shooting this load in an older slow twist Micro Groove 444 .

I'd like to hit 1850fps, and if I did my math right

The math is quite complicated or any spreadsheet could calculate this stuff. I ran it through QuickLoad using a COAL of 2.50", 20" barrel, 70°. It says it will take 43.1-grains to produce the 1850 FPS.

" if I did my math right, 33.0 gr of 2015 "

I was close on the math, I just can't type or proofread. I had written down, ment, and loaded 43 gr of 2015 this morning.

The 33.0 gr charge is for 5744 trying to hit the same velocity.
Thanks Michael

to deerfields and everywhere in between!

Well, I've got a 44NMSBH, a Rossi92 and a Marlin 1894. I will try the moulds I have and decide.

I have this boolit and in my Smith and Wesson 329 PD I load it using Speer's 270 grain JSP data and it shoots really well for me.

I also ran this through my Win 94 444 with some 4198 (I think) and it was awesome. That thing hit like a freight train. It was going about 2,100fps though. I wanted it to have a chance at going from end to end on most any thing I pointed the gun at.

I hope my friend lets me buy it back someday.

I have been on the lookout for a Big Bore in 444 for a longggggggggggggg time. They marketed them here with a black plastic stock. If I find on eI will bin that and buy it a nice set of timber and have it checkered.
