I cast 32 ws round nose about 180-185 gr and flat nose similar to your pic about 175 gr--don't remember. Gas check design. If you want to try them first, let me know. They are from NEI mold.

Was hopeing to load flat base boolits for this rifle, might not be able too tho, I'll find out soon enough, probably get a box of condom bullets to shoot first so I can have a few peices of brass for reloading boolits in :)

Hi Icer,
You know you can make up those .32 specials just from expanding a .30-30 mouth right? Just don't want to get them mixed up with the 30-30's if you shoot one of those.

Why are you trying to design a mold for a rifle that you haven't taken the most basic measurements from? You'd be better off starting here:

P.S. Don't take too long to think about it because MS is low on stock and this is not exactly a high demand item. Midway may have a few too, at a slightly higher price.

Sluged the barrel and got a .318 reading at the muzzle on this rifle so I may have to make my mold a little smaller . :drinks:

I have a 32spl. in a Marlin. It has a long throat, but the action will not handle an extremely long bullet.I designed a 200gr. flat nose on the Mountainmolds website.I love the bullet but the rifle will not eject a loaded cartridge. So just be careful not to let too much nose hanging out of the case.Good luck! When I drew this one up I used the neck length of the case plus the overall length of Lee's Reloading book to come up with the total length of the boolit so, I would think it should be about right. Need to get the mold made and see what the weight will be, I think it should be good enough for at least plinking :)

If that Marlin is a Microgroove, use a boolit that is full diameter for at least 65% of it's length. More is even better. Microgroove barrels don't work worth a tinker's dam_ with boolits that have a long bore diameter nose.

I been searching Marlin 32 Win Spl topics as I wanted to see what other other fellows are finding when they slug their rifles. Mine slugged .31675".
