Got this just in today from Classic Arms. Bore cleaned up in two patches. Bolt looked like it had never been dirty. Not a beaver chew as they advertised. Weather sucks so gotta wait on a range session. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=38317&stc=1&d=1323485970

Looks great!

If you are looking to acquire a stash of quality boxer-primed brass, this (http://www.wideners.com/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=8505&dir=18|830|855) was practically cheaper than buying new, unfired brass when I bought my K31 about a year ago.

They are currently out of stock, but will probably get more.

I got their primed brass because that was the only way I was going to get any reloadable brass for it. My range doesn't allow steel bullets at all so I have to be careful of that as I look around for ammo for my rifles.

Don't ever let anyone tell you its ugly! (some people think so ) Mine gets prettier everytime I pull that magnificently made trigger.

Almost forgot, Numrich has the stripper clips. http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Detail.aspx?pid=726550&catid=5170

Wow that's a great deal (primed brass) and new info to me.

Enjoy your rifle! Odds are it's going to be a great shooter.

I thought the first time I saw one that they were ugly. However after a thread here I think, it came up more often than any other rifle as the most accurate so I decided to give them a second look and started my search. It didn't take long to find out what all the hub bub was about. As Col. Whelen said the only interesting rifle is an accurate one. I couldn't agree more. Way too foggy and cold to shoot just yet. Soon I hope.

Nice rifles for the 89.00 asking price when I bought it, beech stock with patched heel but metal and machine work is nice. You'll love it after you point it at something!

You're gonna love that rifle! My preferred boolit (so far) is the Lyman 311644. The Saeco #315 is easy to get accuracy with, and the Saeco #301 is another good boolit if your throat will allow it. You might want to buy one of the 311299s if you don't have one.

I have (3) K31s, but only shoot (2) of them. My first has a fair amount of wear in the throat so will accept larger boolits than those with little to no wear. My other has been shortened and appears to have a new, non-matching barrel, but is also a fine shooter.

The 311041 and Lee C309-150-F are accurate, but neither will feed from my magazines.

7.5 french stripper clips work also.

I have a 314299 I can size down to .310 but that gun is tight and I have a 311332 at a 180grs that I'm going to give a try with. It has a real short leade and you have to seat the boolits down into the case farther as alot of guys have said. Wish the weather would break as I also have a new CED M2 chronograph to play with as well. Thick freezing fog and about 22F don't make for a real comfy shooting day.

The ogive diameter is usually the limiting factor in the K31s. I have one of the NOE K31 moulds, and the ogive is undersize for my K31s. I haven't shot any, so I'll have to see how they compare with boolits that cast .300" to .301" on the ogive. I seat my boolits out so that the bolt has no more than 1/16" to go when the boolit engages.

How many of you guys are seeing success with the .30-30 type molds for this rifle?

Thinking about trying something in the 150-170 grain range around 1800-2000 fps for plinking.

I have used the Lyman 31141 boolits in mine with no problem.

The 311041 and C309-150-F shoot nice groups but won't feed from the magazine.

Either of the RCBS silhouette boolits will work too. Had my best results with the 165gr version lately with the no-drill no-tap scope mount with a 10X Leupold scope on top.
