I have been out hunting the last three days here in PA. The hunting has been slow. I think mostly because of the full moon!! I decided to go still hunting today in one of my favorite haunts. I eased into a patch of pines and saw this guy bedded on the far side. He was about 70 yards away and was facing away from me. I had to sneak closer to clear some brush that was blocking a good shot. I got to about 45 yards and had a clear shot at his chest. I took aim and was shaking like a leaf in a windstorm!! I let down and took two deep breaths and pulled back up and took the shot. It was pretty much a bang flop!! Tomorrow is the last day of the season and maybe I'll get a chance to let her bark some more on some does.

Thanks. The holster is a Pistol Packaging. The bullet worked great. Straight through the chest busting ribs on both sides. I am usually a shoulder shot guy, but this deer was bedded and the shot that was offered was about 3" behind the shoulder. At the shot it basically just rolled over and it was done.

The gun is a Freedom Arms with a 6" barrel. I load it with a 400 grain SWC over 14 grains of HS6. The load does 1150 fps in my gun.
