I've got one of those quick mount side rails for my AK and it ain't worth a ****. If the side plate mounted to your receiver is even a .001 it will mess up your scope mount. It has to be screwed to the receiver exactly straight and then it may or may not be over the centerline of your AK. I've adjusted the windage all the way to the left and ran out of adjustment before the scope would center or zero. There is another brand that is centerline adjustable and I would strongly suggest that would persue getting that type of mount. Sportsman's Guide dot com used to carry the centerline adjustable mount for the same price, $39.95 + shipping. Still savin' up for it. And by no means get a scope mount attached to the dust cover as you will never get your scope to zero. It will be either a hit or miss with the detachable scope mount. I know first hand as I've been down that road. Hope this will help you choose the correct mount for your AK. BC
