Dillon 550 question

Do the 30-30 & 38-55 use the same shell plate and buttons?
What powder funnel?

Yes. Both use the same #7 shellplate and #4 buttons.
38-55 uses a "V" funnel
30-30 uses a "B" funnel

If you call Dillon and tell them you need a 550 press direction sheet , it will have that information sheet included. It gives you the correct plate, pins, and case mouth insert to use in the powder die.Later David

Thanks all, just had a memory jog and remembered were my instruction book was ! I have everything I need.

I made an excel spreadsheet with the correct buttons,shell plate and powder funnels for each cartridge that I reload for.

I have a plano clear plastic case with all the buttons sorted out by number as well as the shell plates and funnels and have the spreadsheet taped to the inside of the cover.

All I have to do is open the box, and look at the cartridge I want to reload for and it tells me which ones I need and they are right there at my finger tips.

If I reload a new cartridge then I just update the spreadsheet and print out a new sheet for inside the plastic case. Makes life a whole lot easier and organized.
