I just can't handle the pressure. It's too much for me to bear.
My pusher-man uses strong arm tactics and I'm too weak to resist.

He sent me another email. It had a Ruger Blackhawk in 30 carbine. $377.

Three hundred seventy seven dollars. Brand new. In the box. Straight from the distributor.

I've known this man since 1986. We have been the best of friends since that date. A few years ago he picked up an FFL and the business has just exploded. He offered to sell me a gun at his cost. Then, he offered to sell my friend a gun at cost. It's cost me $298 for a Ruger Mk III Target, $312 for a S&W 642, $700 for a Ruger Super Redhawk, and $85 a Marlin Model 88. It's cost my friend $478 for a Remington 700 SPS and $390 for a Ruger SR9c. Two of his friends also dropped $390 each for a SR9c.

Now, it's cost me another $377.

It should be here Tuesday. :D

Great deal! It is a very fun gun to shoot. With factory ammo it is quite noisy too :)

First thing is to upgrade your hearing protection.

You can download it similar to .32 H&R and make a fun plinker out of it.

Hope this helps.

Volume doesn't normally bother me. If it gets annoying, I'll switch to Trail Boss.

The ruger 30 carbine is a lot of fun to shoot with low felt recoil and like wellfed said its loud. it makes more nose then a 45 colt almost as much as my casull. you will enjoy it. gd

The loudest non-braked pistol I own is my 15" Encore in 22-250. That thing will clear a range. It's an absolute hoot to shoot and has zero recoil.
When it comes to six guns, I want something I can shoot comfortably yet know I set off some power. Maybe the bark of the carbine will offset the lack of recoil.

The big question is, did Ruger get the front sight the correct height on these things or will I be sending it back to them like so many others had to do?

I HAD an old 3 screw many years ago. As said it was very loud, but also very accurate. I too have been thinking I need another one.

Terrible to have a good friend do that too you! LOL. Enjoy your new toy.

If he is a good friend I assume he will throw in a new set of hearing protection.

Have fun with this stuff.

Mine is a loud dang gun. It also has about no recoil and is darn accurate.

Wear earplugs, maybe muffs too. Leave the shooting glove at home, you won't need it.

I have put a Bushell variable handgun scope on mine to make better use of its' accuracy. Either the Lee 112gr 30 call GC bullet or a 115 gr Noe 32 cal .313 dia boolit with my own lube pushed by 13 grains of H110 is a great load. If you run out of 30 carbine you can drop a 32-20 cartridge into the chamber and shoot it. You will enjoy your new play toy.

I'm wanting one too. I got to try my H110 reloads for my M1 Carbine with my Buddy's and they are super accurate and comfortable to shoot. ;) Using the semi-jacket Hornady's right now.
