Has anyone ever had a Cramer mould that didn't cast great boolits?

I only have one, and it's a 55A in 25 cal and it casts like a dream. I wonder out loud here, if the reason it casts so well could be the "extra" vent lines on the top of the blocks. Do all Cramer moulds have these? Are they unique to Cramer?

I have an old Cramer #4 I use for 45AutoRim (240gr). The mold has had a hard life and the cavities are a little rough but it drops nice bullets (not pretty though) ! Love it in my S&W 25-2s and 625s ! :)

Shuz, I have an older Cramer .360" WC (slight button nose), whose extra vent lines needed a bit of coaxing in order to perform correctly. Once that was done, it dropped mostly perfect CB's, which miracle of miracles, DON'T have to be seated backwards (button nose towward the powder) to maximize accuracy! It's also the only mold I own which actually casts best a 700 deg. F rather than ~750 deg. Btw, hope all is well with you!
