Hi guys, I have just aquired a 1918 vintage Model 91 Carcano rifle in 6.5x52 and need a bullet mould, any suggestions would be very welcome.

This could be a problem. It all depends on the groove size of your barrel. I had a M41 with a groove dia. of .267 . The M38 I have now has a groove dia of .272. Thats a huge difference and both bigger than most 6.5 molds can provide.
Have you measured yours?

Slug your barrel, the smaller it is the better your options! .264-.268 is the norm, anything bigger is like hens teeth in my experience!

I fooled with one of them a year or two ago. I ended up using a Lee cruise missile mold that was cut down a bit. I got the idea from Geargnasher. He had hand filed the top of the block on just one cavity on his mold. I just milled down the whole top of my mold on a Bridgeport. It was a while ago, so I don't remember all the specifics. If you do a search on "carcano" or "missile" using my user name or Geargnasher as a user name, you should find some more info on that & even some pictures.
I found that the original cruise missile boolit was a bit on the long side, which is why I cut it down.
As others have said, slug your barrel first to see what diameter boolit you need.
