Most isotope containers are about like ww lead. What I have had tested is 96% lead 3% antimony and 1% tin. The exceptions are iodine containers which are almost.always pure lead. X-ray shielding is usually pure.

I have purchased about 30,000 lbs of this over the last 3 years. Early on I did some testing and have my results here. (http://fellingfamily.net/isolead/)

Over the years I came into quite afew of these isotope shielding containers from a friend that worked for a local hospital. The hospital would release these containers from their containment vault after the half-life had deteriorated to zero. Can`t even guess the number of these I melted down and cast as is for .38 WC`s and other pistol projectiles. Never did add anything to the pot mix except possibly a handfull of WW to sweeten it.Robert
