I got this link from another board and thought you all might find it interesting. It has the current and historical trends on our favorite metal...

I bookmarked that one. Crazy, isn't it. We've all heard it's the Chinese buying it up, but I wonder if that's the truth. Imagine the cost of shipping to China!

When was the last time you have seen the M3 (actual outstanding face value of USD) published? China would have close to 40 percent, that's why. They would buy the boat line without question if they were allowed to. ... felix

I just checked over here in germany . Lead price today is $1844.50 . Three month´s ago it was $1795.00. Metalprices in general are going up over here because of the chinese.Doesn´t matter what it is they buy it.Just imagine a couple of million chinese suddenly wanting cars and such!!!!!!!!!

My sifting through the berm at the range don't seem like so much work now. Even the sand burrs and cold wind isn't bad.

Cost of shipping lead to China isn't so bad, all those shipping containers have to go back for more freight. The majority go back empty. Dale

Ocean freight is charged by volume, not weight, so lead costs no more than feathers to ship. Also, Chinese "businesses" are largely owned by the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Since when did anybody's army care what stuff cost?
