I just purchased a number of 50/50 sticks to add to taht I already have. It's probably two years' worth of lube at the pace I cast and size/lube. Is there any advantage of storing it in the refrig? Also, is there a "best" way to store my lube sticks?

Thanks,
James

I once stocked up on NRA 50/50 Alox-Beeswax lube... around 50-60 pounds of it and once was 30-40 years ago when the stuff was very cheap compared to now. I have yet to use it up. I have not stored it in the fridge...just kept it in the original (paint cans) sealed and I have just kept the cans in cool dry places. What is in the can that I have been working out of works fine; shows no sign of deterioration, smells the same as it always did and works just as well as it originally did. If you have it in sticks then its probably better to keep the sticks wrapped in aluminum foil and in those seal-able sandwich bags just to be sure that there is no drying up or any hardening going on and avoid any storage place that is subject to heat. I have 50/50 that has been stored at room temp for a LOT of years.
No need to refridgerate.
Don`t let it get too hot as it could melt....dale

That is one of the great things about beeswax, it goes the distance!

I just store it in Zip Lock freezer bags. Has lasted several years now.
