I just had 103 # of pure lead dropped off at my house. Free shipping, free lead (well, traded some stuff I was never going to use, just junk to me). It is one solid piece with "BUNKER HILL" stamped on it. Also got an 18# brass sledge hammer in the trade. What do you do with an 18# BRASS sledge?:happy dance:

What do you do with an 18# BRASS sledge?
Watch somebody else swing it.
Nice score on the lead, too.

The brass sledge is an AMPCO. On their web site, they list new for about $700!!!!
Any takers?:bigsmyl2: LOL For that price, I would even pay the shipping!!
Also, does anyone know what BUNKER HILL lead is? It is very soft.

I was in my storage building in town this morning getting Christmas lights and found two old pure lead sulfuric acid pipeline gaskets someone had given me a long time ago. I had forgotten about them. They weigh about 50 pounds a piece. Life is good

Thanks guys.
I read up a bit on the mine in Kellog. Interesting piece of history.
Should I turn this into .54 roundball boolits for my flinter? sure is good soft lead and am really needing some. I already have quite a bit of ww lead for other boolits.
That good soft stuff would be great for your flinter. The softer the better for the front stuffer.
