Need some clarification on the offhand part pf the match.

Is it allowed to have my left arm against my body?

I wouldn't see why not...

I assume this is a cast-bullet match, I didn't see this in the rules?
Also, can the bench shooter rest the butt of the rifle on a sandbag?

ihmsa, it is a any-kind-of bullet match. Cast boolits usually win or hold one of the three top places in each of the four matches. The rules are linked in the first post of this thread. Nope, bench shooter cannot rest the butt of the rifle on a sandbag, just the forearm.

Are we allowed to shoot multiple targets in a session, then send in the best one?

Ranch Dog

Aldeer... Shoot as much as you want but SEND THEM ALL IN. Each target is actually a chance in the drawings. In the first four years, many contestants win more that one prize.

Even if you shoot a great target early in any of the matches, continue to send in every target you shoot throughout the summer. Again, these represent chances in the drawings.

The target link in the above web site is open and I hope you cast boolit lever pullers will get out and shoot in this years match!

Bob... Always intrested in seeing those targets come in from the North!!!

If you haven't looked at it lately guys, take a look at our sponsors and prizes as the list will grow rapidly now that the match opener is approaching! Hit your refresh button when you open each page as the information will be changing rapidly!

A note on the target says print it on "20 count paper". Is that the same as 20lb paper?

Ranch Dog

Yes, same thing... It really doesn't matter... shoot what you have, the targets are a heck of a lot easier to score if they are on heavier paper.

Got some targets entered, more prizes offered, take a look at the web site. Refresh your pages and shoot! Enter as many targets as you like, each target is a entry in the drawings and best scoring target is used for standing in the match.

Hey we got 40cm of snow up here last week. Kinda set back the golf season a tad. Stupid system stalled over top of us and it just plain snowed heavy for three days straight. Going to 50F by Friday so goodby snow and hello boats.

Ranch Dog just waiting on my Lyman peep sight and you will be getting some targets from this part of the world.

Hope that snow melts and you can get out and shoot Bob. Remember to send ALL your targets in, bad or good. Best score is recored and ALL the targets are entered in the drawings as a chance toward the prizes.

I've updated the match Standings, Prizes, and Sponsors. I'm really taken back by the support the match is receiving from Sponsors. There are 91 door prizes! Every target you enter is a entry in the door prize drawings. Only your best score (smallest) is used in the individual match standings. Certificates and active avatar links are awarded in each match for the top three places. Here is an example of the 2006 avatar which you can include in any forum signature block...

If you own a levergun, I hope you will shoot!

The Match Standings and Statistics have been updated. If you have taken at the prizes lately, you should. Remember that the prizes are awarded from a random drawing of the targets submitted. Submit ALL your targets and only your best score is recorded in the individual match standings.

RD this is about the coolist thing I've seen in a long while. I don't have many ops to go to a real shooting match and this is a great way to be a part of one at your own pace. Looking forward to this years match.

Probably going to start about June 1. I've been really tied up this year but we'll get there!

Will the rules be essentially the same?

I'm holding a Shoot on June 28 and would like to use the PM VI as the "Official" rules for the shoot... (Everything at my club has to be "official"...)

Greetings fellows. I haven't made any progress toward the match as I've been simply snowed under with work. I'm terribly behind with a number of things and the match is one of them.

Old Ironsides... any future match will have the same rules.

I will have to get back with you when I can. I'm leaving in the morning for about 10 days.
