anticipation sucks.

Tell me about it, know the feeling very well!! I have had a S&W 460 on a 4 month lay-away. I just made my December payment early, two days ago. It should be in my hands first or second week of January. Already have my RCBS dies, molds, two boxes of Hornady ammo in transit, two boxes of Federal on back order at Midway. All I need is the revolver, holster and I'm ready to take it Javalina hunting in Feburary.

A buddy wants a Blackhawk .327 in the worst way. I don't want one (I tend to like guns that start with .4), but I am intrigued.

No it's a .357 ordered last nite be here tomorrow, but my friend ordered a new

Rem. 1911 and his wont be here till Dec. 8 and our dealer is 60 miles away so I'm

just going to wait till he has his to save gas. It's worth the travel cause we get

them at dealer cost plus 20 bucks transfer fee can't beat it. Brand new GP 100

I'm kinda lucky I had to sell another toy to get it, but luckily it was a tractor not a gun. :bigsmyl2:

I have a 4" Security Six and a 6" GP-100, and if yours shoots the same as mine, you're getting a great gun. Congrats!

The more you get into this hobby, you're not going to think about new guns, but new molds. I hope you have one picked out. :lovebooli

You will like your new toy I bought one a year or two back and it is a sweet shooting piece of stainless steel. Spend you time loading ammo and casting bullets until it arrives that way you can get out a blast away without delay.

Yea I've been loading already so i'm all set there. I'll be pulling the trigger on the casting soon, any suggestions on mold models for a .38, .357, .45ACP? I almost bought this gun earlier this year, but bought a 1911 instead. Still wanted this gun bad, so saved as much as possible each month and got her. [smilie=w:

You probably want a bullet with a GC for .357.

Thanks for the advice guys! White Eagle, bad habits are hard to break:drinks:

I would like some mold model number suggestions that you all have had good luck with, for the above metioned calibers.

Just getting my feet wet in the casting part, but I've committed a mortal sin, I bought some cast rounds for the .45 to see how they ran, so don't berate me for it.

My dad has been in the tire buisiness his whole life, so he has everyone he knows saving ww's for me.[smilie=w: I just gotta start gathering what else I need.

One more thing, my friends gun will be in Thursday, so I will have pics by next weekend of the newest member of the family.

For the 357 Magnum, Lymans #358156 and #358429 are very hard to beat. The former is a 158 grain GC design, the latter a 165-170 grain plain base.

45 ACP--Lyman #452374 duplicates the GI Ball 230 grain bullet very closely. I also like the Lee 230 grain TC with conventional lube groove. Both of these will feed in unaltered GI 1911A1s very reliably.

You chose VERY WELL with these two centerfire handguns. Now all you need is a Ruger 22/45 for the 22 LR, and you'll be all set.

RCBS 150 gr SWC is a good, accurate boolit. So is the Lyman 358156, as has been stated. I'm waiting on an NOE mould for a 190 gr boolit. The 357 has lots of good designs.

Just had a chance to shoot it yesterday, and accuracy was amazing. I am very happy with my purchase, and this thing is a tank, should last forever.

You should get all of the WWs you can, even to the point of insanity. I collected more pure lead than I need, but traded some of it off for things I do need. You have a very valuable trading commodity to fund molds, and other tools as the sickness develops.
